TIM Performance by Vehicle Type(s)

TIM Performance Vehicle Types

The type (or even number) of vehicles involved in an incident can directly impact the incident response and the time it takes to clear the incident. For example, overturned tractor-trailer trucks and hazardous material trucks can require special equipment at the scene, as well as hours to clear. Documenting the types of vehicles involved in incidents allows agencies to analyze TIM performance by vehicle type and can help support or refute these common assumptions. In addition, calculating RCT and ICT by vehicle type may lead to a better understanding of if certain response procedures are more effective than others and if different or additional resources are necessary for incidents involving different types of vehicles.
